The Rough Ashlar Lodge is pleased to welcome all the Brethren (Men and Women) and visitors to our official website.

We are a Masonic Blue Lodge in Lebanon, working under the auspices, of the Gran Loggia Liberale d'Italia, opened for Men and Women, and The AASR as the Ritual of the Lodge.
On this website, Visitors can find information about our Lodge and can find information on Traditional Freemasonry.

This information will help you become familiar with the habits and customs of our institution. 
The areas of the website are all of public access, to show our will of transparency.

On the website, it is possible to find references to the structure of Freemasonry, as well as the aims and ideals.

دخلت الماسونية الى لبنان عام 1860 من خلال الشرق الأكبر الفرنسي (1726) والذي أسّس له عدة محافل رمزية. واستمرت هذه الاخيرة بالعمل حتى عام 1961 (أرشيف الشرق الأكبر الفرنسي).

Masonic Music


Masonic music has been defined as "music used in connection with the ritual and social functions of freemasonry". Two major types of music used in masonic lodges are lodge songs, played to keyboard accompaniment before or after meetings, or during meals; and music written to accompany specific masonic ceremonies and events. Because the number 3 and the letter 'B' are of particular significance to freemasonry, music written in the keys of C minor or E flat major, which both involve 3 flats, (whose symbol '♭' resembles the lowercase letter 'b'), in their key signatures has been considered especially appropriate for masonic ceremonial music.
